Kid Brock vs. Eric Moreira Still seeking a first win, hits the weights, amping himself up for his next match. With his ripped, sinewy physique, a "mere" 165, Eric's at a big weight disadvantage. Brock climbs into the ring, flaunting his bigger bod. "You gonna flex or fight!" the rookie retorts. Brock tosses him across the ring with ease. But Eric surprises--a 6-foot vertical leap to hit a flying headscissors! A full nelson is a mistake: Brock powers out, terminating a rope-running attack with a big backbreaker. Brock scores. But at what cost--after so many power moves in a row, he's panting and sweating, that phenomenal bod gleaming. Brock goes for broke with a bearhug. Feisty Eric fights, but Brock won't let go--until a hard knee to the balls drops him to the mat! Two clotheslines don't down the big man, so the rookie climbs the ropes and hits a flying third that does the trick. "Where's your muscle now, big boy," the first-timer taunts before leaping off the ropes with a missile dropkick to the chest. Mike Columbo vs. Artie Taberri Mike's had two harsh losses: a bare-butt beating in t-backs by Benji Conlin on Undagear 11 and a brutal demolition by J-Rock on Gutbash 3 that put Mike on the shelf for two months. A win is crucial if Mike wants to regain his former status. Newcomer Artie smells blood--what better way to start his career than taking down a superstar? An impressive opening display of scientific wrestling skill as the two exchange arm-drags. Artie takes the upper hand (literally!) forcing Mike to the mat with a torquing, twisting armbar that puts the vet musclehunk's writhing bod on delicious display. Amazingly, Mike resists, counters, trapping the rookie in an unbreakable submission. Down 1-0, the newcomer struggles to his feet--a trick? Overconfident Mike walks into an elbow, gets guillotined on the ropes. Nastier than he looks, Artie deliberately and repeatedly slams Mike's handsome face into the mat and turnbuckle. Ab abuse: bodyblows in the corner, multiple gut busters, a bow 'n arrow and it's 1-1. One final round--increasingly confident Artie's ongoing ab attack vs. Mike's pure tenacity and force of will forcing him to fight with everything he's got to avoid losing three in a row...
